A large investment bank located in the financial district of NYC is in need of a Performance Lab Manager/Engineer to assist with running a performance and reliability test lab.
Key Accountabilities:
The Performance Lab Manager will be primarily responsible for performing throughput, latency, and capacity measurements and reliability tests of an equity trading system. The work will involve working directly with the trading application, scripting / programming, performing data analysis, managing the performance lab, and producing reports.
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
Financial industry experience with Equity Trading systems and applications
Performance analysis including throughput, latency, and capacity measurements; system reliability and failure recovery methods and procedures
One or more programming (Object Oriented) and scripting languages
Statistical and numerical analysis, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Candidate must have good team work ability, as well as good written and verbal communication skills.
The position demands a high level of responsibility and commitment and FT placement may follow the contract.
A strong knowledge of infrastructure issues such as servers, networks, data centers and application deployments.
