Job DescriptionThe chosen candidate will provide technical leadership with the design and implementation of complex land mobile radio (LMR) systems for the US West Area. Systems involve Harris and vendor equipment, and typically include IP networks, microwave links, wireless data, RF antenna subsystems, dispatch and/or other custom design peripheral subsystems. Lead system design reviews for bids/proposals for opportunities to ensure proposed solutions meet requirements for technical integrity, completeness and feasibility of implementation/execution. Work with customers to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities. Develop innovative designs and solutions to customer proposals that win against competition. Represent the organization in negotiations to achieve awarded contracts that minimize contractual risk. Collaborate with area management and technical resources to ensure technical solutions will achieve the desired end results. Mentor, train, evaluate, and develop other implementation systems engineers. Instill process discipline focused on customer satisfaction and product quality. Experience: BSEE, BSCE or similar technical degree is required.10+ years of technical experience in Land Mobile Radio (LMR), site civils, and installation of telecommunications equipment is mandatory in this role.Comprehensive understanding of the Public Safety and Professional Communications marketplace is required.Comprehensive understanding of complex IP based land mobile radio (LMR) systems which include networks, site civils and construction, and installation of telecommunications equipment.Previous success with formal proposal writing and presentation is mandatory in this role.Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills are key in this role.Compensation75K – 125K
