NO AGENCIES PLEASE LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Investment Bank's Global FX Technology Team is looking to hire a developer to build out its marquis FX electronic trading platform - a feature rich state of the art application for institutional / professional FX traders. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to: * Work with a highly motivated and skilled team of technologists * Work closely with the traders and related business people * Work in a fast paced environment that's focused on delivering business value and enhancing the competitive edge * Learn intimate details about the workings of the FX markets * Participate in all phases of the project life cycle - from requirements gathering to deployment. The ideal candidate will have: * 5 to 9 years of total work experience that includes construction of attractive, feature rich, high performance C#/.NET WinForms applications for electronic trading of financial securities/products (example: FX, Equities, etc.) * Wall St. experience working with trader applications * Four year degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering. * Good communication skills * Strong work ethic with focus on adding value to the team * Ability to acquire the necessary business knowledge * Ability to build flexible, easy to maintain software systems employing design patterns and best coding practices * Strong grasp of the fundamental concepts: data structures, concurrency control (threading), object oriented design, distributed systems design * Strong track record in building desktop client applications for Windows environment utilizing the following skills/technologies: * C#/.NET Win Forms / .NET Framework 2.0 * Custom Controls / Custom Painting * SyncFusion Controls * CAB Framework * TCP/IP Sockets * TIBCO RV or similar middleware
