Qualitek Services has a direct hire opening for a Sr. Electrical Engineer Expert in Designing Digital Controls and Power Electronics in East Aurora, NY.
REQUIRED SKILLS
****Must be a US Citizen****
Candidate must have a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least ten (10) years of previous concentrated work experience.
The incumbent must have a strong background in digital control algorithms and power electronic analysis and design, both from a theoretical and practical standpoint.
Strong detailed design and development experience required in:
Drive Electronic Design
Motor Controller Design
Generator Design
Inverter Design
Power Conversion Design
Power Supply Design
Power Electronics Design
Motor Controller Design
Control Algorithm Design
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analysis and design of control algorithms and motor control electronics.
Become the lead technical expert in: trade study analyses, requirements definition, architecture definition, product design and performance testing.
Work directly with customers throughout all phases of a project by analyzing and defining customer requirements
Reports to the Manager of Controls and Electronics.
Study brushless motor controller concepts.
Simulation of control algorithms and power electronic circuits using Mathworks.
Compare and analyze simulation and test data.
Design and test control algorithms and power electronics.
Develop product performance qualification tests.
Formulate documentation of designs, analyses and test results following internal configuration management procedures.
Pay Rate: $90,000 per year MAX DOE
