Our client, a not for profit organization whose mission is to ensure the reliable, safe and efficient operation of the State's major transmission system, is seeking a Junior Database Analyst. This position is located in Schenectady, NY and is a direct hire position with our customer.
Description:
The Jr. Database Analyst will Install, support, maintain and configure Oracle databases on all platforms. Identify and resolve production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities.
This position provides 24/7 support on a rotational basis.
Experience/Skills:
Minimum of 3 years related experience as a database administrator, experience performing software configuration management process and procedures, performance monitoring and tuning; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Computer Science or Information Systems.
