GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Position is responsible for transferring software (ANSI C, Java) developed under an NSF-sponsored research grant into the company's product software.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
a. Programming and integration of algorithms and routines in Visual C++.
b. Documenting all code; assisting in writing a user manual.
c. Attendance at weekly progress meetings.
POSITION ACTIVITIES
This position assists client scientists and programmers in the implementation of data extraction, machine-learning algorithms, and other techniques.
REQUIRED SKILLS/TRAINING
Ability to program in Visual C++, ANSI C, and knowledge of MFC, Windows API, and Windows GDI is required. Programming experience in OpenGL, ODBC and MS-SQL is helpful. GUI development and experience programming medical software applications is an advantage. Candidates must have excellent communications skills and be able to develop documentation associated with their code and projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING
M.S. in Computer Science, mathematics, engineering, or related field with strong computer, writing, and presentation skills.
