Location:
Duraton: 18 months
The MUMPS based applications require expertise in creating; updating and deleting MUMPS database globals. The consultant will work side by side with the staff and will provide knowledge transfer to the staff.
Mandatory Skills/Experience Required:
- Minimumof Two (2) years hands-on programming experience using MUMPS (Mass. General Utility Multi-Programming System excluding CACHE. At least six months of this experience must be since January 2005.
- Programming experience using MUMPS (excluding CACHE) to develop and implement Admission/Discharge/Release and/or Financial Eligibility and Billing software in a health-care delivery environment. Relevant experience should be in a mainframe, midrange or client server environment.
Desired Skills Experience (Listed in order of importance):
- Programming of MUMPS routines, which create, update, or delete MUMPS database globals.
- Experience programming in an environment which uses Creative Sociomedics (CSM) MUMPS software.
- Experience working on a project team developing and implementing complex projects in a mainframe/mid-range environment, in a Mental Retardation and Developmental Disability setting.
- Experience Programming in MUMPS (excluding CACHE) in a Digital/Compaq Open VMS environment.
- Experience working with and a strong understanding of, the new Federal Medicare Part D Implementation, the Associated Drug Plans, Formulary Requirements and restrictions placed on recipients eligible for Medicare Part D.
- Programming experience using a recent version of CACHE to develop software.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including both technical and user documentation and presentations and training.
