Title: LAN/VIOP Engineer Job Description: We are seeking a proactive candidate to handle the following responsibilities in the role of an LAN/VoIP Engineer. This individual would design, lead and implement major LAN/IPT projects globally. Provide day to day support for the NY Office LAN and the firms VoIP systems globally. Provide technical expertise and guidance in the planning, implementation, migration, support and capacity planning of IP Telephony Applications and Related network infrastructures firm-wide. Provide technical expertise and guidance in the planning, implementation and migration, support and capacity planning of the LAN Infrastructure in the NY office. Evaluates new products, performs network problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications. Participate in network planning, network architecture, design and engineering. Serve as liason to the telecommunication carriers, cellular carriers in order to solve service issues Qualifications: At least 5 years of data communications and networking experience 2 Year Cisco IPT Experience Expert in TCP/IP Protocol Suite and routing protocols such as RIP, BGP, EIGRP Should have CCNP and CCDP or equivalent network experience Expert in implementing and troubleshooting L2 and L3 Switching Knowledge of Cisco IOS and related technologies Excellent knowledge of Network Management (SNMP, MIB) Experience working with MGCP, H.323 and SGCP Voice Gateway Protocols Monitors and tunes the enterprise IPT network for optimal performance Experience working with Cisco CallManager 4.X and Cisco Unity Unified Messaging 4.0.X Experience working with Cisco Unity Unified Messaging with Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 Experience working on a Cisco IP Telephony projects from inception to project completion CCIE and/or CCVP certifications a Plus.
