As a member of the North America iSeries and Tandem Support (NAITS) team, the successful candidate will provide technical support for complex systems development, and ongoing support for a varied of technologies and major projects.
Candidate should possess general and specialized technical knowledge in the Business Systems area, which include applications development, research and development, and systems integration. Coordinates and completes projects according to plan. Experience: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge and experience gained from previous employment.
- Minimum of three years iSeries/AS400 computer industry experience with operating system technologies and programming language skills in CLLE, plus a high-level language are required.
- Extensive and specialized technical knowledge in troubleshooting, installation, reviews, and software integrations related to iSeries hardware and software is preferred.
- Core technical experiences needing in depth experience in 2 of the following list: experience with operating system levels (V4Rx, V5Rx), and/or experience with Middleware products, including MQ, Content Management, OnDemand, BMC Patrol, ConnectDirect.
- High-availability and replication software experience.
- SQL and performance management background.
- Experience providing operating system and application security.
- Valuable assets would be strong customer services skills; knowledge of HSBC Group products and standards; proactive, takes ownership, good communication and listening skills; and excellent time and project management skills.
- On-call support, evening or weekend on-site support rotation will be required.
- Minimal travel may be required.
