HSBC Bank USA is embarking on a fundamental change in the way their customers are managed. Critical to that is implementation and leverage of a Customer Sales and Service system and a Campaign Management system that will help the bank grow to the next level. The Bank has selected Epiphany Sales and Service and Epiphany Campaign Management as the solution of choice. Uniquely the project will involve close coordination with HBUS Mortgage and HBUS Personal Financial Services since both businesses will jointly leverage the Epiphany solutions.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will
Develop, derive and clarify specifications for system related projects to ensure business unit needs are identified and communicated and to ensure technical programmers understand the functional requirements of the business unit.
Serve as the primary liaison between business management and the application development teams in defining systems requirements, and procedures and practices to implement changes to increase the efficiency of the assigned business unit.
Perform advanced planning of automation needs necessary to define business system project objectives and prepare project plan.
Provide staff coordination to assure staff and contract resources required to execute the project plan are available and ready for commitment.
Confer periodically with both business unit and technical programmers throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects to track progress, identify changes and to ensure changes are communicated to both the business unit and technical staff.
Manage tasks of a group of employees assigned to projects, as required, to assure objectives are met on time and within cost.
Provide technical leadership and consultation to business system project team members, as directed by the project manager.
Provide analysis support and recommendations to management regarding major system conversions and enhancements.
May coordinate the development, design and execution of user acceptance testing.
Provide consultation and assistance to organizations in the preparation of system project plans, as assigned.
Coordinate and lead large business systems projects and tasks as required. Experience: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a major or minor in Computer Science or related field and at least six to eight years experience in business systems development.
Minimum three years experience in systems design and analysis, gathering of user requirements, understanding of computer architectures; for distributed systems.
Solid distributed development and analytical background working with IT professionals
Proficient in design, analysis, technical specifications and testing techniques.
Experienced in working with business senior-level managers.
Above average written, verbal, and interpersonal communications aptitude as well as the capability to independently complete assigned projects and orchestrate the work of others assigned to larger, more complicated projects.
Project management and problem solving skills; proficiency in analytic and quality assurance techniques; leadership ability; and a willingness to take appropriate risks.
Critical skills include excellent interviewing, facilitation, organization, project management, analytical and problem solving skills, mentoring as well as strong verbal communications and documentation writing abilities. Travel within the US is expected with this position.
