Core Java Developer/Coder in New York, NY

Ref #101340 nydia@ Description: The FI Trading Core IT team designs, develops and maintains the trade entry and electronic trading platform used across the FICC Trading and Operations. The Electronic Trading applications enable trading of US Treasury, Credit, Mortgages, Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Futures and Options on external electronic platforms with both institutional clients and dealers. e.g. Bloomberg, Tradeweb, BrokerTec, E-Speed, CBOT, CME & MarketAxess. Position Description: * Enhance and expand the existing train toolset, with an emphasis on Java development and Perl scripting * Support and administer code promotion, building, and deployment mechanisms for multiple independent application development groups throughout FICC * Work with off-train development teams to bring their systems onto the train mechanism Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Java programming - Strong Core Java CODER (JSP Servlets, ANT) - At least one year in web application development - Good working knowledge of Perl, HTML - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Personal organization and task management - Attention to detail - Strong analytical skills - Working knowledge of CVS or similar source code control system -J2EE experience a plus Preferred/Nice to have: - Experience with Maven, the Spring framework, JSTL - Experience with GNU make, bash/ksh/sh, XML, cgi, cmd - Familiarity with Linux/Solaris system administration tasks - Familiarity with Windows system administration tasks - Familiarity with Software Configuration Management concepts - Familiarity with Agile development concepts To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
