Senior Analyst Business Systems in Buffalo, NY

*This position reports to Kevin Ripellino. The candidate will become part of the technical team supporting Banking Delivery Systems. Using their project management and online systems expertise, they will support the Regional Bank consisting of various Branch Banking applications. Involvement with flagship and tactical projects, as well as daily production responsibilities are anticipated. Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, working with end-users to gather business requirements, preparing and presenting specifications, designing, developing, testing, implementing and support. The candidate may have the opportunity to interact with other international HTS groups to complete assignments. Experience: This position requires an individual with: - A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a major in Computer Science or related field. - A minimum of seven years proven technical experience. - Experience in AS400 platform. Ability to debug RPG and CL vendor written programs, ability to create AS400 queries, knowledge of code migration from development to production platforms. - Experience with CONTROL M AS400 scheduler tool a plus - Experience in generating specification documents for various phases of the system development life cycle. - Knowledge of SQL Server application development and experience working with software vendors who supply SQL Server applications. - Proficiency in the design, analysis and testing techniques. - Strong communication, project management, analytical, and leadership skills. - Willingness to engage offshore development colleagues in order to increase the number of projects completed for the business we support. Additional Preferences: - Previous project management experience in small to medium size projects. - Previous experience working collectively with other technology departments and vendors that support applications we manage. - Strong desire towards teamwork and the improvement in processes that facilitate collaboration amoung technology departments. - Strong customer support attitude is a must.
