Our client, an excellent non-profit group has an immediate need for junior VB.NET developer to join their team on a consulting to hire basis. This opening is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the .NET platform in a production environment. The VB.net web developer will work on various existing web applications to maintain and development new functionality on an as needed basis. The VB.net web developer will also work with the team to learn new web technologies to upgrade both internet and intranet of the group. The team of web developers will be designing all websites using VB, ASP Javascript, XHTML, XML, CSS and AJAX on the VS2005 Platform, with SQL Server 2000 on the backend. The developer will also provide support on newly developed applications as needed.

Experience: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:<br>
-1+ years developing websites with core functionality in VB programming and ASP Scripting experience.<br>
-Experience with the .net platform, especially VB.NET and ASP.net is preferred but the desire to learn more about .NET is REQUIRED .<br>
-Demonstrated ability to work with and develop database driven applications is a must..<br>
-Strong communication and excellent work ethic is an absolute must.<br>
-Willingness to learn and help out wherever needed is a prerequisite.<br>
