Responsibilities include managing several project teams and associated systems, as well as developing/ supporting various different technical application system components. The ideal candidate should be familiar with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle and have previous experience managing system development teams and projects in a large, centralized business IT environment. The Project Manager will act as a liaison between clients in the Affiliate Relations, Photography and New Media departments and the Applications Engineering Project team(s). The candidate must be able to document business and system requirements, maintain existing systems and design, develop and implement new software solutions. In addition, the ability to write and maintain programs in the Microsoft VS.Net, C#, ASPX, HTML, Javascript and SQL Server environments is a must. The qualified candidate should possess strong project leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and work well individually and as part of a development team. Support and maintenance of several key Visual Basic 6, SQL 2000 and 2005 applications is also required. These applications are primarily written in VB 6 and are used to report data to outside companies as well as to internal departments, on what programs air on each ABC TV Affiliate. The ability to implement new functions and convert legacy systems and processes to .Net/SQL Server web based applications and services is also required.
Basic Requirements:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field of study.
Work Experience: 10+ years.
Technical Skills: C#, MS SQL 2005, HTML, ASP.NET, Javascript, MS Office and VBA.
Non-Technical Skills: Team and project leadership, requirements analysis documentation, strong analytical, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
