This position requires that the System Administrator actually cover 3 different roles which include the Network Administrator, Helpdesk Specialist and a Telecommunications Administrator. This position ensures that all employees can work productively with the technologies and that they can gain access to the network and its resources seamlessly. Job includes upgrading servers, installing new applications and performing backups to managing user problems like malfunctioning printers, forgotten passwords, or requests for new software.
Network Administrator: The Network administrator is accountable for the operation and support of the companies’ network infrastructure and multi server environment. Specific areas include: the management of backup and recovery procedures for critical data sets, E mail, Web and FTP server management, the management of security and virus protection procedures and technologies. Other duties include: installing new software applications, distributing software upgrades, enforcing licensing agreements and the monitoring of Network and Server performance metrics.
Telecommunications Systems Administrator: The Telecommunications Systems Administrator will conduct ongoing planning of PBX, Voice mail& call center resource requirements, continuously monitor performance and manage/execute all moves, adds and changes.
Help Desk Specialist: The Help Desk Specialist requires strong people skills with a solid understanding of today’s workstations, laptops, palm devices and cell phones, to provide practical technical support for the employees of the company.
