BASIC FUNCTION: The Global Sourcing/ Process Improvement Group will provide overall program management structure and capabilities for coordinating M&T’s strategic global delivery initiative across the Bank. The team will initiate and management process improvement projects in both the Retail and Technology divisions.RESPONSIBILITIES: Position is results focused- individual must be comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing environment.  Individual must be a quick study and have the ability to balance detailed/strategic analysis. Manage the planning, development and implementation of various projects and initiatives in support of the department or division. Manage process to monitor off-shoring program value and vendor performance. Design and implement complex and highly specialized PC based models to support business decisions, make recommendations to management based on research and financial analysis, etc? Develop monthly reports—ensure accurate results!  Responsible for building adequate and effective controls into the reporting process. Manage end-to-end off-shoring governance related processes. Support program growth efforts. Develop a thorough and expert understanding of off-shored processes. Keep abreast of global sourcing business and market trends. Participate in the achievement of short and long-term business objectives. Perform other assignments/projects as requested by management. Support creation of senior management presentations as needed.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field such as Business, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, or MIS or possess at least a minimum seven years experience in field or a minimum 3-5 years prior experience in a related professional environmentDemonstrated ability to use statistical, analytical, and facilitation tools to understand and model processes. Ability to conduct root cause analysis, as well as establish effective control strategies to sustain the gains. Candidate must have expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, MS Access, and Word Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience. Superior analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skillsTeam player who enjoys a team approach to building solutions and creating partnerships with staff critical to project successProven leader with good instincts for problem solving and judgment. Demonstrated ability to constructively handle conflictTraining in leadership, process improvement, facilitation, process mapping, six sigma, performance management, scorecards, change management, and conflict managementIDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: MBA preferred.Formal six sigma training a plusFive to seven years banking industry, or consulting experience a plusRequires excellent analytical, organization, time, and quality management skills, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff personnel. Detail oriented and uses sound judgmentCandidate must have attention to detail when preparing or leading preparation of complex analysis and reports.  Must be able to assert ideas and gain support and commitment from others. Must be proactive. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Self-motivated and able to motivate others. Encourages teamwork and acts as a role model when leading and directing others. Aware of the Bank’s business plan and strategic objectives. Good project management skills. Quickly grasps new concepts.
