Executive Technical Support Specialist in New York City, NY

Extraordinarily gifted technology specialist to provide direct support to the firm's chairman. The successful candidate will work closely with the group's highly skilled IT systems staff and will be responsible for meeting the chairman's short- and long-term technical needs. The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

* On-site, off-site, and telephone support for all technology-related needs of the firm's chairman;

* Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices;

* Management of desktop technology-related research projects;

* Identification and recommendation of process improvements;

* Testing and evaluation of products and solutions which may enhance the chairman's efficiency and productivity;

* Monitoring the progress of technical projects assigned to other groups;

* Training of the backup technical support staff; and

* Involvement in the firmwide technology projects which are not directly related to the chairman.
Experience: Degree a must to PHD a plus with high test scores.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in communications and audio-visual technology (Blackberry, video conferencing, etc.). Programming ability is a significant advantage, but is not required. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding organizational and project management skills. While we certainly welcome applications from computer scientists, developers, and systems administrators with extensive track records, we are looking for exceptional technical ability more than specific experience.
