We have an immediate need for a UNIX Administrator (3rd shift)
JOB DESCRIPTION
UNIX System Administrator in Fishkill, NY (3rd Shift) (60454)
Provide UNIX server support. Platforms include but are not limited to UNIX, AIX, Linux, Red Hat, SunOS, HP-UX. VERITAS cluster experience a plus but not mandatory. This SA will handle implementation of complex systems and change management.
. Very strong customer service skills are required.
. Strong experience with Intel Server Operating system and Hardware skills are a must.
. Candidate must have experience working in a data center.
. SA must be willing to carry an on call pager and be willing to work additional hours as needed for critical situations.
. Very strong background in troubleshooting techniques.
. Systems administrators in this role will spend 80% of time working problem tickets and/or troubleshooting server problems.
. Candidate must be comfortable working in a virtual team environment and comfortable working on remote systems.
. On call. Occasional week ends
