Genesis10 is seeking a Security Engineer for a major client in Melville, NY on a full-time basis. As the Security Engineer, you will be responsible for network hardware and software evaluations, testing and deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate projects and provide technical support to internal users.
- Architect server infrastructure in a multi-tier environment.
- Perform troubleshooting, performance and capacity tuning and trending analysis.
- Provide installation, maintenance, and tuning of Windows hardware and software systems.
- Prepare installs and implement Microsoft Windows Operating System Software and Active Directory Domains.
- Install and configure MS Cluster Service to support SQL Databases.
- Configure HP Proliant Servers utilizing RDP.
- Install and tune IBM WebSphere Servers.
- Interface extensively with LAN, WAN, Storage, UNIX, Application and DB teams.
Experience: Required Skills/Experience:
- Active Directory skills.
- Websphere Application Administration and tuning.
- Siteminder.
- BS Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent in education and/or experience.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a technical open system environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and network technologies.
- Understanding of Windows scripting and automation.
- Overall knowledge of the hardware and software components of Windows operating system.
- In depth knowledge of topology of Storage Area Network and the support of it.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- UNIX knowledge is a plus.
- Large data center experience highly desirable.
- Financial Services background desirable.
- CA Siteminder, Identity Manager, Sun Role Manager, Netegrity Suite, Single Sign On Systems also desirable.
