Our client, one of the world's most recognized brands in Media & Entertainment is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence to manage and deliver the Business Intelligence portion of their Media Systems which includes audience viewership demographics, ratings systems, ad sales analytics, etc.? Major responsibilities will include:
Responsible for coordinating projects and support related to Business Intelligence solutions
. Responsible for overall project delivery and on-going support of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions
. Collaborate with business management in setting the technology direction and objectives; prioritizing business needs and formulating plans
. Establish a close partnership with key internal clients and other IT application teams to provide data strategy expertise ensuring overall data quality
. Participate in requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling; work with IT partners to design and implement BI solutions and tools
. Manage the design and development of portals, dashboards, ad-hoc and standard reporting related to functional business groups
. Determine and lead integration with existing systems; work with business and IT to gather required data from multiple systems and platforms
. Lead a development team of onsite and offshore resources and manage tasks thru the team s Shared Support organization
. Coordinate system, user and stress testing; create controls to monitor performance for ongoing model optimization. 10+ years experience with developing and implementing Business Intelligence strategies
. Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
. Working knowledge of Data Warehouse principals and analytical tools, ie: Teradata, Oracle, Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy, Applix TM1, Vignette, Adobe Flex
. Demonstrated strength in project management of technology solutions
. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership
. Proven track record of leading change
. Desire to work in a high-profile, dynamic, fast-paced environment
. Academic background in Mathematics, Technology, and/or Financial related degree
