Terrific opportunity for a professional Project Manager with PMP experience to join an exciting and innovative leader in the Communications industry. You'll play a PM leadership role in the management of multiple 2010 IT infrastructure engineering and application support projects. These may consist of infrastructure expansion and build-outs, customization of internally and 3rd party developed applications as well as other business unit initiatives. Projects will encompass numerous technologies from mobile, wireless, broadband, voice telephony to Linux, Java, Oracle, etc.
As Project Manager your role will include:
. Overall project planning, monitoring and direction of cross-functional project teams. Creating project plans including WBS, requirements planning, communications plans, risk management, cost expenditures, issue tracking, status reporting. Planning, scheduling, running meetings and recording minutes. Aiding in the preparation and presentation of regular executive level project progress and status reports. Serving as the primary point of contact for all client disciplines. Establishing and implementing production monitoring and support tools & processes to support system deployments. Validation of SOX compliancy for all application deployment processes. Planning & coordination of all test related activities to include, unit, integration, system, regression, performance, User Acceptance Testing, etc.. 7+ years IT Project Management experience (PMP Preferred). Technical skill-set must include wireless communications, mobile and voice telephony. Must have familiarity with Linux and Java web applications development. Cable Industry Background is strongly preferred. Skilled at applying structured Project Life Cycle methodology. Ability to define and document all required project tasks. Excellent verbal & written communications skills. Effectively work with minimal supervision both individually and in a team setting. Highly organized and detail oriented. Perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed . Experience with Application Development life cycles. Experience with multiple server hardware platforms and middle-tier and storage systems and software. Project Management Institute s PMP certification preferred
