Please, NO 3rd party vendors!PAY RATE: $41 to $56 Hourly (we also offer Salaried Full Benefits pay rate differs)CONTRACT DURATION: 6 months+JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a VERY experienced SQL Server DBA. Our end client wants someone with experience to help architect their SQL Server 2008 environment. SQL Server (REQUIRED) TSQL- ability to write complex SQL server stored procedures and Transaction control statements Analysis services, Business Intelligence, OLAP and Data Mart Designing systems for high availability -SQL 2008 Clustering, Log shipping Datawarehouse maintenance and Warehouse support Reporting services Replication Strategies and sound understanding in Transactional Replication SQL2008MSDBA Certification General Info Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Interaction is with internal customers and peers. Participation in the on-call rotation is a requirement - cellular, laptop and dial in capability will be provided. Normal working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday with some off hours implementation and/or troubleshooting required. For Oracle specifically (DESIRED skills, not mandatory): Experience with RAC, Clustering, Failover and Standby, Performance & Tuning. Operating systems utilized - Windows and Linux required. Tru64 experience a plus. Service guard experience a plus. Use and/or implementation of Grid Diagnostic, Tuning, Change Management and Configuration Packs a plus.
