Software Engineer Adobe Flex/ActionScript
JOB SUMMARY:
An innovative, internet-based, medical documentation system company has an immediate opening for a programmer of secure, rich internet applications using Adobe Flex (Actionscript 3) to create a revolutionary new software product for the healthcare industry. The candidate's duties include researching and defining technology direction, designing and implementing new systems and components, and being a contributing team member. JOB DESCRIPTION:
Research state-of-the-art web, user interface and other technologies
Design web-based n-tier healthcare IT applications
Implement new healthcare application components alone or in a small project team
Create and execute unit, integration and performance tests to identify and correct program errors and scalability constraints
Create technical documentation of software components
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum two years experience in commercial software development in all areas of the system development life cycle
Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area
Extensive knowledge of Flex, ActionScript 3 or Javascript with object-oriented experience, CSS, Flash, XML and W3C compliance standards
Ability to perform independent research in emerging technologies for internal adoption
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Strong work ethic
Must be eligible for employment in U.S.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience building applications in a healthcare setting
Experience with HL7 and EDI a big plus
Experience with Visual Studio 2005 and Team Foundation Server
Experience with Web Services (XML, XSL, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI)
Experience with NxBRE or other Business Rules engines a major plus
Experience: Flex, ActionScript, Adobe Flex framework, Flex Builder 3, Adobe AIR, OOP practices, MVC. CSS, Flash, XML and W3C. Janus and/or Zinc is a plus.
