Description Our client a global financial services firm and a market leader in securities, asset management and credit services is seeking a MSSB - WebSphere Process Server Platform Engineer/Developer Location: NY , NY Contract Position Bachelors Degree Candidate will be responsible to engineer, develop, deploy and support a full service WebSphere Process Server based Business Process Management utility platform upon which application developers will deploy BPM oriented orchestrations. The BPM platform must evolve to incorporate reusable components and infrastructure integrations in order and facilitate expedited time-to-market for BPM oriented business solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing and building end-to-end reference implementation sample orchestrations and preparing and presenting educational materials targeted at the application development community, again, to help facilitate expedited time-to-market for BPM oriented business solutions.Key areas of responsibility: Engineering of the plant into the environment - Interface with the engineers who own the host WebSphere based software, hardware and network. Manage ongoing platform enhancements and underlying product upgrades. Develop, build, maintain and test BCP for the plant. Own the development and support of platform level integrations, eg entitlements, SOA, authentication, standard facilities. Perform level 3 support for application issues, manage the vendor's SMEs during problem resolutions and deliver fixes to production. Produce and maintain the reference architecture and example applications for validation, performance testing and developer education purposes. Performance, workload, and capacity management. Communicate effectively with the Development Leads, internal managers, business and project management to review project documentation and determine testing needs Participate in internal design reviews Contribute to production readiness/hand-off review before go-live Be an expert technical resource to the team, to management and to peers Ensure work processes and products meet IT standard Strong oral and written communication, problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams, locally and across geographic regions. Train or mentor others as appropriate on specific area of systems expertise; assist in development of training materials and/or conduct training SKILLS REQUIRED: Five or more years of hands on experience implementing Business Process Orchestrations. At least 3 years of experience using IBM WebSphere Process Server. Well-versed in BPM terminology and processes; ability to leverage BPM tools to full capacity, specifically WebSphere Process Server, Enterprise Service Bus, Business Modeler, Business Monitor, Integration Developer, Business Space and Lotus forms. Hands-on experience building, deploying and/or supporting distributed applications built with EAI and SOA technologies (ex. J2EE on WebSphere, JMS, EAI, MQ, EJB, JSP, JDBC, SQL, Ant). Hands on experience with at least one database platform (ex. Oracle, DB2, Sybase). OO design skills. Strust, JSF, Ajax , JMS, Dot Net, Multi-threaded Java and JUnit all plusses. Knowledge of WebSphere Services Registry and Repository (WSRR), ITCAM for SOA, PKI, WS-Security, SAML and various web services standards are a plus. Extensive experience gathering functional requirements and developing solutions that meets business requirements. Ability to decompose documents to identify deployment requirements and configurations for complex integrations. Proven ability to facilitate task breakdown and scope discussions. Very strong oral and written communication skills; good listener. Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines. Prior work experience in the financial services industry. Experience is in the area of core operational processing a definite plus.
