Description Our client, one of the world's leading financial service providers, is seeking a Software Developer - Java. Contract position 3 months duration New York , NY Drives all product development activities for one or several new products. Sets up and maintains development environment, for `owning` and maintaining the technical building blocks of new offerings, and for bringing in-house the outputs of external development efforts. Gathers, interprets, and analyzes business and functional requirements and translate them into technical requirement specifications. Creates and maintains all technical documentation for new offerings, including technical design documents and administers the production processes of new offering during the development phase, including validating outputs and troubleshooting any production problems. SKILL SET Must have strong mathematical and statistical modeling skills as well as solid programming skills. Knowledge of Siebel in addition to programming languages, server, and database environments, which may include: Java, Visual Basic, C/C++, Unix, HTML, JSP, Weblogic, XML, DB2, ASP, Cobol, Oracle, BEA WebLogic, JSP, LDAP, EJB, Servlet, JDBC, UML, PERL/CGI, UNIX, Sun Solaris, Sybase, and ATG Dynamo
