Description Our client, a major global financial services provider engaged in retail and commercial banking, is seeking a Senior Project Manager. Location: New York , NY Fulltime Position Business Programs team manages large scale business change programmes within the company, typically providing the Programme & Project Management resources delivering front to back functional deliverables across organizational boundaries to meet the business goals. Main Function A senior Project Manager is required to take the leading in planning, solutioning, tracking, execution, and overall project management of cross asset class and/or cross functional business initiatives. This senior project manager will be accountable for ensuring all aspects of the project are scoped, planned, tracked, and managed to successful completion. Main Duties Working alongside the business sponsor the job holder is accountable for driving the successful delivery of critical business expansion and/or change projects Work with key senior stakeholders to scope initiatives, establish governance, and define Client solution Creation & maintenance of detailed project plans covering all functional deliverables Interface with the Technology, Operations, Compliance, Trading, Sales, Risk, Tax and other functions to identify & track key activities, milestones, risks, and dependencies Senior Stakeholder management (typically MD level business heads) Status reporting, providing visibility on status against milestones, and transparency of risks and issues. Chair/lead key project meetings, including steering committees and working groups Take the lead in identifying key bottlenecks and take responsibility for ensuring issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Conflict resolution Person Requirements Qualifications/Education: Degree (or equivalent) Preferred: Project Management accreditation Experience required: In-depth Project Management experience (6-10 years relevant experience) Demonstrate experience of running and delivering large scale, critical business change programs and/or broad experience in delivering infrastructure and/or corporate change programs Superior communication skills Attention to detail Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders Advanced understanding of project management best practices/methodologies/project lifecycle Strong delivery focus Excellent analytical skills Excels at conflict management & building a team in a Matrix reporting structure Cross border/multi geography project delivery experience Track record in delivering large scale change within the Investment Banking sector
