Experience: New temporary PM position, Facets knowledge is a must-have. We are not looking for a Facets guru, rather a strong PM with a solid understanding of Facets and working with developers, analysts, QA, etc. Our intention is to not convert this individual at the end of the upgrade project.

This is a temporary position to begin in January, 2010, and end in October, 2010.

The IT Project Manager will be the responsible for managing the upgrade to Facets 4.71. They are responsible for facilitating, planning, and coordinating all IT resources. They will assist in analyzing all aspects of the upgrade project and assure compliance with standard project planning guidelines while maintaining alignment with IT objectives and corporate priorities. They advise IT Management of over/under allocated staff, missed target dates, potential risks and/or budgetary concerns. They are also responsible for writing project status reports and for project documentation. Engages IT management and business owners in discussions on prioritization and estimated completion dates with the aim to successfully deliver all critical requirements in an acceptable timeframe within IT resource constraints.

Managing and controlling project requests from receipt to completion. Administrative duties including status reports, meeting facilitation, project communication meetings, budget preparation, management reporting, staff training. Relationship building with business line project management resources to facilitate a consistent corporate project management methodology while consistently exceeding customer expectations.


Candidates must have 5+ years of Project Management experience. Project Management Certification (PMP) is highly sought but not required.

Demonstrated knowledge of Facets is required. Must have health insurance experience.

Demonstrated experience leading enterprise strategic projects with more than 75 allocated resources is required.

Proven project management, leadership, and communication skills (written & verbal). Familiarity with, and a working knowledge of, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other Project Management applications. Demonstrated facilitation between business units and technology groups. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work and act with minimal supervision. Flexible and able to change to the needs of the day to day requirements. Possess ability to have a strategic view of all active projects to minimize duplication of effort or recognize commonality between projects. Must possess a strong customer service attitude.

Responsible for the coordination and completion of Projects requiring IT resources; Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, project change management, monitor staff utilization and summarize progress. Ensures that projects adhere to IT policies, procedures, standards, and project management methodologies. Assists in formulating the scope, objectives, and priorities of the Facets upgrade project. Responsible for reporting project progress and status. Design and implement key performance metrics or SLA (Balanced Scorecard and/or Storyboards) to monitor/ report ongoing activities and progress. This includes Service Desk, Information Security, and Network Systems requirements for production turnover. Coordinates and controls project communication, requests, issues, problems and documentation in an effective, efficient, and timely manner. Coordinates with the appropriate IT departments to ensure proper knowledge of project management standards and techniques, and make recommendations of project management software and tools. Establishes communication plans and roll out strategies for implementing the project.
