Our client is a top-tier financial firm and they are looking for a Project Manager for a short contract. The PM will support an office build out involving Cisco and LAN /WAN technology. The position will be based in the Parsippany, NJ area and the build out will be in Los Angeles. Some travel will be involved to the LA facility.
You will need expertise in:
Project management & budgeting skills for Network implementations - You should have some previous experience in the areas of:
Engineering & design, Strong knowledge of Layer 2 & 3 Network configuration;
In-depth knowledge of Cisco Product line, in particular, a detailed knowledge of the Cisco Catalyst 6500 platform using both Hybrid IOS/Switch OS as well as Native code; Security experience with Firewall configuration (PIX), ACL creation, analysis & implementation.
Support & analysis of Security infrastructure supporting 3rd party connectivity.
Change Management policies, procedures & processes, and assess the network using your knowledge and available tools to identify and resolve faults.
Project Management experience
LAN/WAN design and implementation
Cisco technology including Switches
Security and configurations
Financial industry experience since this is for a trade floor implementation
This project requires travel to LA for maybe a week only
