Ajilon Consulting has an opening for a C#, .Net Developer (Senior level) in DTC. This position is full time. The position of Programmer/Analyst provides high level input for architectural, tactical and strategic direction in relation to Provisioning and Automation tools used globally. This position develops and supports systems necessary to automate and/or consolidate manual processes as well as provide support for applications that interact with a centralized data store. The Sr. Engineer must have some knowledge of business and development processes, such as: ITIL, Six Sigma and SDLC (software development life cycle). The Position of Sr. Engineer within the Automation Solutions Development organization must work closely with the Finance, Network Operations, Provisioning, Service Desk, Availability and other organizations to develop solutions which address business requirements relating to cost savings and improved efficiencies. This person in this position must be motivated and require minimal supervision. Maintaining a high level of technical expertise and skills as well as defining the direction and use of development tools is a key responsibility to this position.





Responsibilities:



Database design concepts, software systems/database integration and synchronization, web Application/ Web Service development, adherence to all standards and policies, Third level software support, reporting infrastructure development, research, document, and implement program requirements and specifications. Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications. Consult and review code with co-workers on a regular basis. Develop an awareness of programming and design alternatives. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices. Write and/or delete programming script to enhance functionality and/or appearance of applications as necessary. Direct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.



Skills:



UML Design, OO design concepts, Java and perl are a plus, C# &.Net Framework skills required, Visual Studio 2003 / 2005, Knowledge of messaging systems such as MQ Series, Microsoft Reporting Services. T-SQL and PLSQL a plus. Knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle. Nant, Nunit, Nmoc, FXCop, Cruise Control a plus. XML, Webservices, knowledge of ITIL, Six Sigma and SDLC. Strong interpersonal skills, highly motivated and self-directed. Knowledge of data security. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
