Basic Function:
As part of M&T's Technology & Banking Operations Division the Operations Manager III would be responsible for the management, planning and coordination of assigned department (3-5 employees).
Responsibilities:
Oversight responsibility for service support functions within Technology Infrastructure. These include, but are not limited to Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog, and other ITIL support functions.
Responsible for providing the lead on multiple projects at the department or division level. May represent the department on outside projects.
Exercises usual authority of manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Oversees training and development of direct reports.
The position requires knowledge of mainframe and server based production application processing.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above OR 5 to 7 years experience in similar environment
Proven Project Management experience
5+ years previous staff management experience
Thorough knowledge of Data Center production application processing
Knowledge of mainframe and server based production applications
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing a team or teams of IT project analysts
Ideal Qualifications:
Previous budget management experience
Familiarity with Bank IT standards
Knowledge of Mainframe/MVS processing
Knowledge of Windows, Novell and UNIX server based application processing
