At this time we are looking to staff a Business Analyst opening with a large and successful bank in the Buffalo, NY area.



Our client is in the 2nd phase of a multi-phase implementation of a billing system that serves a global community and needs an experienced professional to take over responsibility for all of the analysis and support of their defect tracking system.



DEVELOPMENT:

The successful candidate will learn the fundamentals and specifics of assigned projects (products) and then drive that/those project(s) to successful implementation, which essentially is production readiness for the Operations and Customer Service groups domestically and in some cases globally. The candidate will strengthen his/her project management skills by engaging multi-functional internal populations to ensure readiness to support customers throughout all facets of the clients' interaction with delivery platforms, from pre-implementation to production. Further, the candidate will gain an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology by which Citibank manages its major technical projects.



BUSINESS OVERVIEW:

The strategic intent of the Delivery Channel platforms is to leverage technology to enable clients to perform self-directed transaction initiation, report retrieval and investigations/inquiries in a more timely, accurate and cost-efficient manner than the current legacy technical solutions and/or manual processes. It is envisioned that Passport and other Public Sector deals will leverage a variety of technical solution resulting in a quality product delivered to the client. The goal is to increase customer satisfaction with e-Business products and services while profiting the corporation.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Analyst will interface with diverse operational and technical groups, assist in translating those requirements into support processes, provide recommendations to optimize operational procedures, and minimize risk. Ensure that established process and/or procedures are created, documented, and modified by the stakeholders, as needed. The Business Analyst is responsible for: 1) developing and managing project plans in support of Project Leads for large cross-functional projects and as Project Lead for smaller projects , 2) leading meetings and leading groups to resolution on issues as identified 3) coordinating with operational areas to ensure processes are built and procedures are documented, 4) confirming that training is made available to staff members, 5) managing interdependencies to ensure success of the project, 6) participating in the successful roll-out of processes from testing to production, 7) participating in strategy, planning and Senior Management meetings, 8) developing and maintaining governance over specific ongoing custodial processes, as deemed appropriate, once application is BAU.



EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

. Improved levels of service to Delivery Channel users as they pass through the end-to-end Delivery Channel implementation and post-implementation support process from Citibank staff, as a result of well-documented processes and procedures, adequate training programs and an effective communication forum/process.



KEY CHALLENGES:

. Muti-faceted and constantly changing, with management of multiple product tracks of changing scope and priority, frequently without the aid of static technical requirement documents.

. Changing products and support models with the introduction of new delivery channels


Experience: CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

. 3-5+ year of overall banking or financial experience

. A.A.S., or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance and/or MIS

. Ability to quickly grasp operational processes and understand training requirements

. Strong project management and analytical skills

. Strong "influence management" skills

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, across diverse audiences and management levels

. Process improvement experience

. Ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced, changing environment

. Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

. Comfort level with technology and the Internet

. Experience in the Cash Management suite of products

. Highly PC literate

. Excellent prioritization capabilities

. Must have a very good working knowledge of MS-Word, MS-Excel & MS-PowerPoint
