Our Client, a large investment bank is looking for a Business Analyst/ Project Manager for a 6 month contract. Must be able to work on a W2 basis.
Job Description:
With over 350
analysts covering over 3100 companies worldwide, we
provide our investing clients with comprehensive
research analysis of companies, industries, and the
world's markets.
The Information Technology Strategy (ITS) group within
CIR oversees all technology initiatives that affect
the department. Headed by the Director of ITS, members
of the ITS team liaise with business communities in
all operating regions and CIR Technology to identify
and implement technology solutions best suited for
CIR.
The ITS group is currently seeking a temporary
consultant to function as a business analyst/project
manager for a research publication system project.
Detail responsibilities of this role include:
"X Work with two other business analysts to gather
requirements for this publication system by
interviewing various users and stakeholders.
"X Provide design recommendations from both system
and
human workflow perspectives.
"X Produce a detail business requirement document
for
the project.
"X Work with the Technology department on functional
specifications.
"X Oversee and manage all aspects of the project
life
cycle, including development, QA, UAT, and
development. Ensure co-ordination among all parties
involved.
"X Manage expectations of stakeholders throughout
the
project.
"X Provide regular status updates to management.
"X Manage expectations of all project stakeholders.
Key Requirements/Core Competencies
"X 5+ years of work experience, including 2+ years
in
technology business analysis in a global operation,
and 2+ years as a project manager responsible for
global, multi-tier, technology projects.
"X Good understanding of technology (both hardware
and
software); ability to assess the validity of a
technological solution and its cost estimate.
"X Proven communications skills (both verbal and
written) to build trusting partnership with business
clients, technology team members and other
stakeholders to deliver solutions.
"X Ability to summarize/explain/present requirements
and technology solutions in non-technical terms.
"X Experience in quality assurance of technology
projects. Prefer having prior hands-on experience with
testing.
"X Excellent negotiation and relationship management
skills. Ability to broker agreements amid priority
conflicts across stakeholders.
"X Understanding of Economics and/or Equity Research
is a strong advantage.
"X Experience with research systems - publication,
financial database, disclosures - is a strong
advantage.
"X Excellent Word and Excel skills required.
Experience: 5 years, with some financial experience
