Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for a strong Perl Web Developer for a three month project in Manhattan.
Our client, an innovative video sharing website is looking for a Senior-level developer to create and integrate for the Catalyst web framework, using Template::Toolkit.
Experience with these is a MUST.
Play a critical role in the design of a coherent and predictable web user
interface and application design
Build high quality, robust, cross-browser web UI using HTML/DHTML,
AJAX, CSS, Javascript, and Perl scripting languages.
Create wire frame screen flows, prototypes, design briefs, design specs and guidelines
Identify and design standards for use across the application and platform
Create pages that validate to W3C standards
REQUIREMENTS
CATALYST, MASON, or TT and extensive Perl experience.
Hands-on ability to take ownership of your portion of the product and then produce, produce, produce.
Extensive experience with web production technologies and techniques (HTML, DHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, XML/XSL, REST, SOAP etc.) and their design implications
Proven experience with one or more popular DHTML/AJAX frameworks such as moo.fx, Dojo, jMaki, Google Web Toolkit, Prototype or script.aculo.us
Substantial expertise with integrating UI prototypes and production UI code with back end systems
Drive to explore and identify integration possibilities with third-party syndication and sharing tools
A minimum of 3 years experience in user interface design for software, with experience in software applications or rich internet applications
Proven ability to generate designs from the conceptual level through to production and support
Proven effectiveness working in cross-functional teams that include product management, engineering, QA, and customer support
Experience developing and communicating User Experience design guidelines, templates, and standards
Understanding of the next generation Web and new media. Proven ability to create elegant designs and simple yet powerful web user interfaces.
Expert cross-browser CSS/JavaScript knowledge
