Basic Function:
As part of M&T's Telephone Banking Department the PC/Workstation Application Developer would perform routine analysis, design, programming, and implementation on systems and procedures to solve routine business or scientific problems.
Responsibilities:
Review users hardware/software requirements, making recommendations and implementing new solutions based on business needs and Bank standards. 
Work with user areas to develop enhancements to existing systems.
Work with vendors on system problem resolution, and vendor release updates. 
Responsible for some report generation utilizing Access and/or SQL databases.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or realted field or have 5+ years experience in an application development environment
2-3 years programming experience in .Net suite or VB6
Strong SQL and/or MS Access database experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Detail orientated, self-motivated, takes initiative to learn new skills and enhance overall knowledge
Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to handle multiple tasks in support of various assignments
Excellent written and verbal communications skills to effectively present to a target audience
Ideal Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Computer Science or realted discipline
IVR Reporting
Knowledge of Novell networking
Knowledge of Java programming
Telecommunication knowledge
Good understanding of the Bank's application framework
