Data Center Engineer in NEW YORK, NY

Manage the rollout of web application content<br>
Maintain current Firewall and security rules on web and extranet browsing firewalls. <br>
Maintain group firewall policies. <br>
Ensure all local web infrastructure is compliant with latest patched software and hardware. <br>
Maintain on a daily basis the integrity of DNS database and managed additions, deletions and <br>changes<br>

Experience of maintaining a large Web/Application infrastructure<br>
Strong firewall support and engineering skills on Cisco Pix<br>
Good web server knowledge: IIS, Apache. Authentication mechanisms: LDAP, SecureID, client <br>certificates. <br>
Experience with SSH remote access infrastructures. <br>
Good technical knowledge and background on all new Web technologies<br>
2 or more years related experience with Apache and Tomcat environments<br>Excellent working knowledge of DNS Bind protocols and Proxy concepts. <br>
Experience with change and production control procedures. <br>
Capable of effective written and verbal communication with co-workers<br>
UNIX - incl. SOLARIS 2.8 administration<br>
MICROSOFT - W2K 4+ years experience with supporting complex web environments and <br>applications. Position requires hands-on technical skills, with an emphasis on <br>troubleshooting. Experienced in UNIX, NT, and Windows 2000. <br>
Knowledge of Load Balancing and bandwidth limiting devices. F5s - BIG-IP. <br>
Practical application of TCP/IP and switched/routed networks. <br>

Experience required: At least 3 years experience in a data center environment working in a senior <br>IT support and or engineering role. Total of 5-8 years experience in the IT industry. <br>

Skills and knowledge: (Specific product knowledge/PC skills/languages etc) <br>
3+ years experience with supporting complex web environments and applications. Position<br> requires hands-on technical skills, with an emphasis on troubleshooting. Experienced in UNIX, NT, <br>and Windows 2000. <br>
