PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for the maintenance of PC hardware, the configuration of all PC components and the loading of software and documentation. Provide “in house” computer/network support knowledge of Windows 2000/XP and Microsoft Office 2003 applications.
Assist Network Manager with Network Troubleshooting and maintaining data integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide “in-house and remote users” computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems. Stay current with knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high level support to end users. Ensure that personal computers and networks are functioning properly and are available for their intended use.
• Maintain trouble-log on computer support requests and documentation of all configurations.
• Install workstations and printers on the LAN according to schedule or as requested, ensuring that cables are labeled and documented for future reference. Assist in moving PC equipment to different locations. Perform workstation-related setups.
• Maintain and report fiscal inventory relating to network equipment on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in daily backup procedure of network and ensure safe management of media in accordance with disaster recovery plan.
• Download and test new versions of client software for workstations and make recommendations based on findings.
• Assist Network Manager with Network Troubleshooting and maintaining data integrity.
• Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Experience: REQUIREMENTS:
• MCSE a plus. Bachelor degree in Computer Science preferred.
• MUST have working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP Office 2003 Suite, Microsoft Active Directory, TCP/IP, MS Office 2003, additionally Symantec antivirus, Veritas Backup, Nortel VPN, SharePoint 2007.
