Robert Half Technology is currently looking for a strong Network Administrator with 5+ years experience for one of our clients on Long Island. As the Network Administrator you will be responsible for the availability, reliability and security of the voice and data communication networks. Provide strong technical expertise in the design, implementation, maintenance, and business continuity of the data communications infrastructure at various locations. This includes implementing and supporting the network infrastructure and both the primary and backup data center sites, implementing and supporting wide area network communications requirements. Also, the ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of Cisco IOS and Cisco LAN/WAN products, technologies, configurations and administration software technologies. You MUST have the Cisco experience to qualify for this position. If addition, the following skills are required to be considered: Firewalls, VPN and SSL VPN Technologies, Routers, Switches, COS, QoS, IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and wiring/cabling relative to voice and data systems.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: Knowledge of secure LAN, WAN, Bridge and Enterprise Wireless Technologies (802.11x, WEP, WPA). Knowledge of Network Management, Monitoring and Reporting Systems. Knowledge of Windows 200x, IE, DHCP, IP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory Structures, IPX, Ethernet, various LAN/WAN Topologies, SNMP, RMON, RMON2, FTP. Telco services, Frame Relay, Voice/Video over Frame Relay, IMA, ATM, MPLS/IPFR and GRE, dedicated point-to-point, ISDN, POTS and CSU/DSU required hardware and software.
