As a J2EE developer, you will play a key role in developing initiatives for a high-growth organization for a very high-growth organization.



Duties/Responsibilities



  • Develop applications, using J2EE, Struts Framework, and object-relational frameworks (for WebSphere)


  • Design of a Student Achievement Toolkit, and Teacher Gradebook.


  • Developing and modifying databases as needed to support application development


  • Coordinating development efforts in an Agile-like, testing-centric environment

Experience: Required Background/Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field


  • At least three years development experience in both web-client and EJB tier J2EE systems


  • At least six months development experience in Visual Basic and other Microsoft development environments


  • Proven experience in iterative system design, development, and implementation


  • Experience developing in Linux, Apache, Tomcat, and JUnit


  • Strong Struts and object-relational mapping modeling experience with frameworks such as Torque or Hibernate


  • Background in Postgres SQL, MySQL, or general SQL skills


  • Experience working with open-source solutions




Major Pluses to have



  • Experience in Agile-development methodologies


  • Experience with SalesLogix


  • Experience with Perl
