The Senior Manager in Business Systems has the overall responsibility to evaluate business systems company wide, incorporate best practices and implement new systems and tools with input from and liaising with the appropriate departments. <p>
In this highly visible role, you will:<br>
• Analyze and translate complex business scenarios and processes which impact or involve multiple departments (with often competing data structures) and multiple applications to create efficient, cost saving, and stable systems;<p>
• Audit, develop, and modify process and data flows and identify applications which are flexible and scalable in order to support changing business needs;<p>
• Interface with all business units (Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Internet, Production, Editorial, etc.) to collect and codify requirements to execute best practices to maximize corporate revenue and optimize user data;<p>
• Identify systems, data, and process synergies across multiple business units to drive costs savings and efficiencies;<p>
• Document corporate wide business requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, and workflows;<p>
• Identify risks related to database format and organization requiring clean up and recommend automation improvement to minimize manual processing;<p>
• Establish production file transfer schedule (inbound and outbound) and establish monitoring of same;<p>
• Design process/product specifications and oversee conversion of business processes and requirements;<p>
• Manage and prioritize web developers workload based on highest business value;<p>
• Manage third-party vendors and technical resources to execute light development projects and stabilize current application usage;<p>
• Assist with troubleshooting internal applications and data;<p>
• Support and direct data cleansing, reconciliations, and adjustments via backend, load routines which eliminate manual updating and errors;<p>
• Support and direct business system test efforts.<p>

Experience: The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:<p>
• B.S. in technology or hard business domain and minimum of 5 years of overall systems implementation experience. M.S. in technology or M.B.A. preferred but not required;<p>
• Strong client / vendor management skills;<p>
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills<p>
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a high growth environment and meet deadlines.<p>
• Strong business systems analysis and management skills from an enterprise, operations and technology standpoint;<p>
• Strong project management / budgeting skills within a matrixed role in the company;<p>
• Strong personality and presentation skills in order to interact at the most senior levels of the organization;<p>
• Understanding or experience in quality driven / lean oriented business culture;<p>
• Experience in homegrown application development as well as off the shelf software;<p>
• Ability to translate complex business scenarios into automated processes.<p>
