This is Part Time Work not full time and not week ends but week days 4 hours per day.
As part of a desktop support team, provides technology support for internal PCs and Macs including configuring, installing, maintaining, repairing and upgrading hardware, software, and peripherals. In some cases, will be required to support specialized warehouse and distribution center equipment. Maintain high level of customer satisfaction by resolving customer support issues quickly (within SLA guidelines), completely, and with high levels of professionalism. Must have the ability to contribute and grow in a team environment. Lead special projects as required. Provide technical leadership to the Desktop team.
BS degree in a computer related field is desired with at least 5 years of appropriate experience
Strong experience with installation and support of Windows 2000 and Mac OS 10.x, MS Office 2000 Suite and Lotus Notes.
Some experience with networking protocols and LAN technologies. Network administration experience is a plus.
A+ certification required
Microsoft, Apple, or Cisco certifications are a plus.
Experience with remote computing and laptop migrations.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to interface with staff at all levels of the organization.
OTHER INFORMATION
Sr. Desktop Support Analysts are expected to be able to support the following technologies:
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP, including printing, networking, installation and de-installation of hardware and software, and user definable settings, registry troubleshooting.
Mac OS 10.x, including printing, networking, and application support.
Lotus Notes 5.X and 6.X, including replication troubleshooting, user level functionality, port and connection settings, calendaring, and scheduling.
Microsoft Office 2000, including preferences and basic configuration for all applications.
Internet access, including configuration, cache and security settings, and troubleshooting access issues.
Networking in a TCP/IP environment.
Dial-up networking troubleshooting.
Nortel and Cisco VPN configuration and functionality.
Troubleshooting basic hardware issues and effectively diagnosing hardware versus software issues.
Effectively support other applications in the environment as required, such as Microsoft Project, Oracle, SAP, Sybase, Peoplesoft, Remedy, Netscape, Smartstream, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and others.
Internal division applications as required.
Effectively support and troubleshoot warehouse / distribution center equipment, including scanners, desktops, servers, hand-held devices and conveyor systems.
Part time 4 hours per day Monday thur Friday Flexible within the 8 hour shift.
