Now in their next period of growth, this is an ideal opportunity to join this major trading solution provider who has just released a new workstation. They are currently seeking developers with experience in equity derivatives to join them. Working as part of the Product Development team you will play an important role in the development and delivery of their high performance trading systems.
Responsibilities of this role will include
-Significant contribution to the technical design and architecture of our exchange gateway systems including the production of technical design documents and specifications
-Hands-on programming and development of the products
-Ensuring the delivery of the product within aggressive time deadlines
-Ensuring the delivery of high quality product by using peer reviews and unit testing
-The role will present a number of technical and professional challenges in this fast paced and dynamic sector of the software industry and would suit an experienced hands-on developer with high professional standards who is able to deliver a reliable and high quality product.
Required Experience:
At least 3 years commercial C++ software development, including experience of systems design and architecture and exposure to real time, transaction based applications in a client server environment.
***Experience in the equity derivatives trading market.
Strong C++ programming skills. Experience of Visual Basic, Tcl, Perl, shell scripting would be useful.
Experience of developing under Unix or a sound knowledge of Unix operating systems.
Understanding of object orientated methodologies.
Experience of one or more relational databases (eg Sybase, MS SQL Server).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
A self-starter with initiative and the ability to work without supervision.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
