CDI is currently looking for a Commercial Transition Manager to join our team. Join CDI today!



Commercial Transition Manager responsible for the complete implementation of customer's IT solutions from project start to customer site go-live.



Begin with the analysis/review of the solution for completeness, coordinate & direct the efforts of cross tower teams (h/w-s/w procurement, infrastructure, server, network, middleware, monitoring, customer management center, ops center), routine interface with the customer and Client Account team to deliver status & review action items and customer dependencies.



Requires the ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, work with numerous service line providers, and the ability to recognize the need for escalation when required.



Location can be anywhere but, extensive travel can be required for some projects.



Adaptable and flexible to work environment.



Knowledge of the PMI Process Groups; Initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.



Knowledge of current Project Management methodologies.



Negotiates effectively with team members to define the team's goals, work content and schedules.



Clearly communicates team results to immediate management/project manager.



Establishes and maintains clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team and other staff.



Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with management/project management.



Recognizes and articulates complex problems related to the project/segment of the project or function.



Applies creativity and judgment in development of multiple solutions related to project objectives utilizing recognized project management techniques.



Provides project management business guidance, as well as, displays proper use of PM tools to team members throughout the project life cycle.



Has the ability to manage and motivate team members.



Accountable for meeting customer's requirements and obtain the results of the project segment, unit or deliverable assigned.



Responsible for project planning. Identifies, estimates and presents cost, schedule and business and technical risk for the project committing multiple resources.



Interfaces directly with corresponding levels of customer's staff.



Performs activities to ensure customer satisfaction.



Responsible for their financial baseline of the project, and accountable for project results as committed to the client.



Managing financial budgets and tracking actuals.



Responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements for their project/segment of the project.

Experience in Service Delivery with commercial customers managing large projects such as Datacenter consolidation and relocation, Mainframe & Midrange upgrade/migrations, Groupware, File/Print, Active Directory & Exchange upgrade/rollout, Application & Data migrations.
