Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for an Access/Excel Reports Developer with strong VBA experience for a temp to hire position in Manhattan at an established financial firm.
The role’s primary responsibility will be the design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance of
a new toolset using Microsoft Access and/or Microsoft Excel-based VBA. This role also involves the creation of report layouts and related MIS tasks.
This varied job will include communication with internal and client IT/Business personnel, analysis of client/industry requirements, development of product enhancements/functionality. Applicant must have demonstrated experience developing VBA applications and reports using industry best practices and methodologies.
Technical Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following database development and technical skills:
• Visual Basic for Applications development using Microsoft Access & Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Access database design
• SQL
• Understanding of database schema design
• Report design and creation using JasperSoft iReport, Crystal Reports or Microsoft Access
The following technical skills are also desirable but not mandatory:
• Java
• Visual Basic 6 or Visual Basic.NET
• Fundamentals of TCP/IP, local area networks, routing, firewalls, etc
