Job Title: Quality Assurance Automation Analyst
Our client, a leading global provider of financial services located in midtown Manhattan is searching for a Quality Assurance Automated Analyst to join their team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for Testing projects through all phases of the software development life cycle. They will work with the business teams to gather business requirements and document these into standardized document templates. They will work with the technical development team to provide technical requirements.
In addition they will perform various testing tasks and be responsible for test planning, generation and execution of test cases, report and retest defects and scripts for various systems including but not limited to trading systems.
The right candidate will validate functionality and business rules in calculation, financial planning based on requirements and use cases. Responsible for execution of end-to-end testing, integration and functional testing as assigned; tracking and reporting on test case execution. Generate test data per use case and per test case; find, report and retest defects. Work closely with teams of developers throughout the entire development life cycle, to elicit and manage requirements, develop test strategies, test plans, ensure product quality, provide consulting on quality techniques, and ensure adherence to proper software development procedures. Work on department-wide activities such as process improvement efforts, will gather and report on quality metrics, and will participate in pre-and post-implementation reviews
Job Requirements:
-3+ years experience with Automation Tools
-3+ years experience in the financial industry with specific knowledge Fixed Income & Foreign Exchange
-Strong analytical, design and decision-making skills.
-Strong knowledge of financial products and processing including fixed income, equity, derivatives, etc.
-3+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance and requirements management. Knowledge of QA methodologies, Software Testing Best Practices, and SDLC a must
-Development knowledge of Mercury Quick Test Pro.
Experience using tool on Client Server based applications.
Ability to create custom functions.
-Knowledge of C, C++ , .NET, VBScript HTML and Java required.
-Knowledge of application development standards, tools, and utilities required, technically competent in financial systems, data warehouse systems and database technologies (Sybase, DB2, SQL & ODBC).
-Produce, maintain, review, validate and execute test scripts, schedules, and plans (Manual and automated testing).
-Develop and enforce Quality Assurance test methods and procedures.
-Generate defect reports, metric reports, and QA documentation (Test plans, Project Plans,
Business/User Requirements, Functional/Technical Specs, User guides)
-Previous VMS experience a plus
