Position; Network Engineer
Location: Buchanan, NY 10511
The project is a six-month contract that is to start immediately in This is an excellent possibility for extended opportunity and for full-time hiring. Local residency in Northern NJ or Westchester is a plus but not required. The location is about one hour traveling time from mid-Queens or Manhattan and is accessible from mass transit.
Experienced network engineer with ten or more years of hands-on experience in these areas:
§ Local and wide area networks,
§ Network design of small to medium systems,
§ Deployment of T-1 circuits,
§ Cisco router set-up,
§ Operation and support,
§ Experience with TCP/IP networks and management,
§ Wireless modems,
§ Data over wireless networks,
§ Network integration,
§ Project management experience,
§ Knowledge of SNMP based network packages,
§ Experience with TELCO and other vendors,
§ Experience with server and workstation management skills,
§ IP performance management skills,
§ Hands-on experience with IP test and measurement systems, sniffer, protocol analyzers, experience in working with carriers on network performance.
