A well know Reinsurance firm in the New York City area is looking for a Server Engineer to help move from Wall Street to Jersey City.
Responsibilities
Candidate will perform 2nd and 3rd level desktop and remote support for approximately 200 users. Will set up PCs for users, configure profiles, set access for email (Lotus Notes), Ghost desktop images and handle common desktop troubleshooting issues for the user base at a 2nd/3rd level. Candidate will also help set up servers, help maintain Active Directory, troubleshoot network / server side issues, and assist in project work with Architects and management in NY and London.
Experience: Skills
Candidate must have 5+ years of industry experience in desktop support and server work. Must have an MCSE 2003 certification and knowledge of HP equipment with solid working knowledge in Windows 2003, Active Directory, WINS, Arc serve backup. Nice to have include HP certification, VMware and an understanding of Citrix. Should have knowledge of configuration of servers, DNS, DHCP, print servers, etc. Experience from the insurance industry is desired by not required
