One of the leading telecom companies in the New York, NY area has an immediate need for a full time VMware Architect.
The candidate will provide architecture/engineering support with requirements definition, architecture design, and associated documentation for the standup of a COOP site with possible extension to support implementation and testing of the COOP site. He/she will produce detailed architecture documentation, and technical implementation plan as well as help train lower level engineers including documenting process and procedures in support of such. Also, the candidate will be involved w/detailed solution engineering and produce design documents.
Required:
. Experience with continuity of operations for large-scale virtualized data centers
. Experience with HA/DRS and Site Recovery Manager
Experience with DoD, especially DISA
. Must be senior level caliber, have prior experience within the above technologies and be an effective oral / written communicator
. Must work well as part of a team
. Experience with continuity of operations for large operations
. Experience with data replication
. DoD Secret Clearance preferred, but not required
. MUST be a US CITIZEN
. Up to 50% travel (with reimbursement) required to Montgomery, AL, Endicott, NY, Odgon, UT, and Dayton, OH
