Position Summary

The Senior Programmer Analyst is an individual contributor that is recognized throughout the organization as a principal subject matter expert in one or more of the areas of SAP technology and business knowledge, IS management, systems development, configuration and maintenance, service delivery, technical consultancy and professional skills. The Senior Programmer Analyst position typically implements, maintains, and supports SAP functionality as well as internally developed applications or custom programs. Expert-level programming and configuration skills are required with functional business knowledge gained through interaction with customers.



Role Responsibilities
Key technical / functional member of the team responsible for providing SAP application support to assigned client areas.
Demonstrates system expertise in one or more of the areas of SAP technology and in for internally developed solutions or custom programs
Demonstrates expert knowledge of assigned business processes
Performs detailed analysis of conventional business process requirements and provide appropriate system solution; assists with the collection, interpretation, validation and documentation of customer and technical requirements
Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, maintains and supports custom programs
Analyzes, designs, customizes, tests, maintains and supports SAP functional modules along with internally developed applications
Expected to keep abreast of technology developments in SAP and emerging client technology fields
Expected to fully understand, support and comply with all Ann Taylor policies, procedures and best practices
Partners with peers when integrating functionalities across applications and/or modules
Develops profiles, authorizations and intrusion protection within the solution
Complies with legal requirements regulating the holding, use, and disclosure of personal information
Assists with the development and delivery of application training to customers
Proactively identifies and proposes business process and/or technical enhancements
Assesses the potential benefits of emerging IS/IT technologies
Works self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior technical members
Follows applicable Ann Taylor IS Standards, Procedures, Guidelines and Methodologies in the implementation and/or maintenance of internally developed solutions or custom programs
Demonstrates required competencies on a consistent basis
Demonstrates company values on a consistent basis
Performs other duties as requested

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical/business experience required.
Concentration in Computer Science preferred.


Experience:
Minimum of 7 years related professional experience and SAP ERP experience
Minimum of 5 years programming experience with ABAP, BSP, Html, Java required.
Minimum of 5 years configuration experience with SAP MRG required.
Participated in 2 or more ERP implementations and/or upgrades
Ability to build relationships and work in effectively in a team atmosphere.
Understanding of technical and functional areas, i.e. Finance, Sales, Human Resources, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Accounts Payable.



Professional Skills:
Expert-level SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) (Candidates must be able to hand code ABAP) and SAP Business Server Pages Programming (BSP), Java, JavaScript and HTML (Candidates must be able to hand code BSP, Java, JavaScript and HTML)
Must have demonstrated ability to develop custom interfaces and programs using IDOC, ALE and other middleware
Must have demonstrated ability to configure SAP modules using ASAP methodology and MRG
Must have proficient knowledge of the SAP Netweaver ECC 5.0+ HCM module and Payroll Engine
Must demonstrate proficient knowledge of the processes, concepts, theories and responsibilities of the Human Resource/Payroll business and how HR executes those responsibilities
Must have experience with SAP Enterprise Portal technology and demonstrated ability to d
