This position requires Bachelor's degree in Business or Computing or equivalent experience.
The business analyst is a key person on the Business Intelligence project team and needs to be involved throughout the development cycle.
The business analyst (BA) will have the overall responsibility of being the liaison and advocate for the end users of the data warehouse. The BA will work closely with the users to understand the current state of information availability in the enterprise and then identify future needs based on their analysis of business requirements, current state environments, gap analysis, future state warehousing implementation.
The BA should have an experience in business functional areas (e.g financial, CRM, marketing, HR) in order to effectively work with the users. The BA will identify the source systems and data required in the data warehouse environment to meet the users current and potentially future needs.
They will work closely with the development team to ensure user requirements and issues are being addressed while controlling scope. The BA should have a thorough understanding of ETL processing methods, underlying data warehouse data models, security, and capabilities of the front-end delivery products. They are responsible for overall coordination of user acceptance testing and training.
They provide constructive feedback to the DW team so they can make modifications as necessary before the final rollout.
The BA is responsible for ensuring that the final data warehouse implementation will meet the user expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
. Develop scope of work and functional specification documents.
. Understand the business users' requirements for information, document and communicate them to the rest of the project team
. Lead the identification and documentation of business metrics
. Coordinate and attend meetings with clients and managers to define requirements and project goals for development staff.
. Manage communication to and from internal clients and development staff about project status and clarification of requests.
. Responsible for organizing meetings and producing minutes, and is usually the facilitator of these meetings.
. Maintain team's project lists and work with users to determine priorities, and reports progress on projects (status reports) to the users.
. Help identify potential sources of data for the data warehouse
. Coordinate and produce all documents necessary to complete unit, system, QA and end user testing. Includes development of use cases, test plans, defect tracking.

Experience: Five years experience as a Data Warehouse Business Analyst or equivalent work experience. Previous experience with business intelligence tools, OLAP reporting tools Expertise in the design and production of quality deliverables. Fluent with the Decision Support Development Life Cycle. Experience with various testing tools and methodologies. Familiarity with metadata development, maintenance, and documentation tools.
