In this job you will develop sophisticated software solutions for a mission critical UNIX based trading system. You will be accountable for analyzing requirements, designing specifications using UML, developing C++ solutions, adhering to department development and testing standards including building comprehensive unit tests and participating in peer design/code reviews.You will also be responsible for coaching team members and actively participating in team problem solving. You will be a member of a large team of high performing engineers managed by a strong software development process that fosters growth and creativity.
Requirements:
Job Requirements:BS, MS or equivalent in Computer Science or closely related field- At least 4 years of extensive C++ development experience with at least 1 year of experience on a single project or product.- At least 2 years experience working under the guidelines of a formal software development process- Knowledge and understanding of object-oriented design concepts with UML- Good UNIX skills; scripting a plus- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills- Excellent oral and written communication skills- Self-motivated and able to work both within a strong team and with minimal supervision- Strong planning, estimation, and coordination skills- Basic knowledge of the Stock Market and Wall Street trading concepts.
